of course, the literal parralel would be that to Card's "Enders game". There isnt such thing as fair play if u really need (want) to win.

The only honour in the game is:
-Don't run in the arenas
-Don't diss other peoples' valiant efforts
-Don't drop unless you're impatient and it's clear the one person left in your team is not going to beat the 4 other people.

Everything else is up to you.
I regularly do the "Press F4 to get free faction!" thing in Tombs for fun (it's even funnier when someone is stupid enough to do it). That's not unfair, that's teaching people what the keyboard can do. I also kick a party member who has been AFK for 10 minutes despite having been with the team for several rounds. That's making way for others.
I dye farmed in presearing, that was purely because everyone else got dyes except my first character.

Scamming is a risk people expose themselves to when they don't do the game with friends. It's also not a scam if someone is willing to pay 25,000 gold for a max dmg chaos axe, that's getting the most for your items.
However, it is dishonourable to forego completing payments for runs.

Video games are still very much a kid thing, expecting maturity in it is a detriment to your ability to have fun.
I thought that was pretty much what I said.

Agreed it's not always the age. General rule of thumb I use is to trust no one. That doesn't mean you can't have fun, but take everything with a grain of salt.
It's just common sense.

But the bigger picture is this is why there are rules in games, because it is in people's nature to see how much they can get away with.
The more lax the rules are the more disorder there is going to be, and unfortunately GW is pretty lax.

last weekend in gvg our guild faced a team that had two people with the same name, except for like one letter. More ingenious then the afk trick but people will try anything.

oh and Ristaron, you forgot one...

always give a gg no matter the outcome.
